How it works

How selling a business works, in six clear stages.

From the first confidential call to settlement and beyond. No jargon, no surprises, and you stay in control at every step.

Start with a free appraisal
Stage 01

Free appraisal

It starts with a confidential discovery call, then a personalised, honest appraisal: a realistic price range, how we arrived at it, who the likely buyers are, and how we would take it to market. Free, and with no obligation to go further.

Stage 02

Open agency agreement

A fair agreement with no lock-in. You can still use other brokers or sell privately, and we earn only if we introduce the buyer. It keeps the relationship honest and the pressure on us, not on you.

Stage 03

Preparing your business for market

We build a professional Information Memorandum that tells your business's story properly, and presents it to buyers at its best. This is where the care usually reserved for big deals makes a real difference to your result.

Stage 04

A discreet, competitive sale process

We market without naming you, and bring qualified, serious buyers to the table together, using genuine competition to lift your price. Buyers are vetted and sign a confidentiality deed before anything is released, and you approve every one of them.

Stage 05

Offer, due diligence and contract

We manage the negotiation, coordinate the buyer's finance, accountants and lawyers, and guide the contract through to exchange. You have an experienced operator beside you for every decision that matters.

Stage 06

Transition and settlement

We run a clear handover, from training and stock to staff, suppliers and lease, through to settlement and beyond. The goal is a smooth transition that protects your people and your legacy.
